Director

Rob is a founding Director of 4D Workshop.

Rob has established and maintains respect and a reputation for technical excellence, delivery capability and reliability. Rob has extensive experience in developing concepts and delivering elegant design solutions for unique and challenging projects. Project highlights include the New Footscray Hospital, 447 Collins Street – a linked twin tower mixed use project , 466 Collins Street – slender tower, Melbourne Convention Centre Development, Southern Cross Station Redevelopment and City of Greeter Geelong Council Offices – an engineered mass timber building.

Rob’s analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solving and decision making ability and communication skills have been learnt and honed over the years having studied an MBA, carried out Director and Managing Director roles and jointly founding 4D workshop. Rob brings these skills, knowledge and experience gained to each project.

Why did you study engineering?

I was considering Architecture but my careers adviser looked at my maths scores and said consider Structural Engineering

What can you not do without?

A bit of exercise on a regular basis, baseball, jog, swim, stand up paddle board

What kind of music do you like?

Alternative rock and 90's grunge gets played a lot.

What’s the best place you’ve travelled to?

Positano - Amalfi Coast

Are you a sports fan? Who are your favourite teams?

Collingwood (or any team in Black and White), New York Yankees, Ferrari - that covers most of it.
